Pet protection and ease of use.
Keeps Mr. Mischief where I want him when I have the front door open or when cooking. Works great in a hallway. Some reviews suggest the latches are cheap. They can be latched and locked with one finger. Holds a cat. Maybe not a large dog. In my entryway, I created a box (see video) with some room di ... vider panels and floor to ceiling curtain rods (available on Amazon). This gives room to step inside and close the door. Very secure without drilling holes. Could be disassembled in minutes.
Works great I just wish there was extensions for the very top. I originally bought this gate to keep my cats downstairs because they were ruining the carpet upstairs.I used plastic wrap for the top to stop 1 of my cats from going over the gate and it works so can't complain to much. I thoroughly hated putting this together. The instructions, warned by many people in the reviews, are very strange and make you feel like steps are missing. Sturdy. Except the latches. Those only made it a couple days. Will hold up to the fiercest of cats. Wish it was easier to adjust width. All in all, not bad but a little expensive.

We actually have two of these gates; one full-height and one regular. Both gates are perfect for our needs of keeping cats separated. The spaces where they are installed are not doorways or traditional hallways so we needed gates that pressure mounted to the floor and ceiling. Perfect no cat on living room furniture anymore! Keeps cat out of the space needed. Eats to enter and exit. Worth it! I contacted the customer service and they sent a replacement part asap. The video helps with the set up instructions. If you’re curvy like me you got room to go through as both sides ... swing open. The spaces between the bars are suitable even my birds cant get through. I do wish we can order only the extension pieces. Or a short extension piece to fill the gap at the top.

This was perfect for my needs. I needed to keep my cats separated while I integrated the new one. It allowed them to see each other and get used to each other before letting them together. The doors swing both ways and the top and bottoms separate if you want to close the bottom and keep the top ope ... n, or vice versa. It was easy to put together and install. I feel it was a good price and solid. It fit perfectly in my bedroom door.
We have a formal living room that we wanted to keep our cats out of. One of them is a determined jumper and no shorter gates could deter him. (Think Steve McQueen in The Great Escape). It was reasonably easy to assemble, and while I wish it didn't resemble a prisongate, it absolutely does the job we ... bought it for. We humans have easy access to the room, and he doesn't. Seems very sturdy and solid. Wish we hadn't wasted our money on shorter gates.
